Out of roughly 440 ensembles from hundreds of universities, ten made it to the Finals stage steps from Broadway. Carolina Sound finished third in its first year of competing, while keeping a schedule of 50 to 60 performances a year.

Carolina Sound, a premier a cappella group from the University of Mount Olive, performs a variety of genres, including secular and inspirational as well as Christian and patriotic.
